💡

About this template

Clients usually name the wrong blocker - "no time" is a description, not a cause. This inventory asks them to place every obstacle into six types: time, money, skill, environment, fear and habit, then rate each for actual influence and how movable it is. The result is a grid where the real obstacle is usually high influence and higher movability than expected, and the loud one is often neither.

❓

Frequently Asked Questions

Why sort obstacles into types?
Because the fix depends on the type. A skill gap needs practice, a fear needs work with meaning, an environment needs redesign - and clients mix them up constantly.
What if everything feels immovable?
That is usually the fear category speaking. The naming prompts exist for that moment.
Is resistance the same as an obstacle?
No. An obstacle is external, resistance is internal. The inventory separates the two so they are not treated alike.
How long does it take?
Around ten minutes, and it is often the most productive session of an engagement.
Does it produce a report?
No AI report is generated. Responses aggregate into a grid of obstacles by influence and movability, with the first target named.
Can I reuse it?
Yes. Copy it per client, or re-run it when execution stalls again.
