FAQ

What is curving to a target mean?

A linear shift that moves the class average to your target while keeping the relative order intact—useful when one exam was genuinely harder than planned.

How are standard-deviation letter bands assigned?

A above mean+1SD, B up to +1SD down to the mean, C to −1SD, D to −2SD, F below—adjust your institution's cut-offs to taste.

Is a percentile the same as a grade?

No: a percentile ranks a student against the class, a grade rates them against a standard. With a small class, percentiles move violently—one high score shifts everyone.

Does my grade data get uploaded?

Never. All computation happens in your browser.
